Albert C. Scarmato Jr.

Dr. Scarmato is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who is a graduate of Rutgers University and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of The New York Institute of Technology. He completed his internship at Union Hospital and continued his training in anesthesia at Saint Barnabas Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. As a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologist, Dr. Scarmato practices in multiple institutions: Centra State Medical Center, Freehold Surgical Center, Center for Ambulatory and Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Northern Monmouth Medical Center.

Dr. Scarmato was raised in Jamesburg, NJ, and feels that a great deal of how he practices medicine is rooted in his involvement in community service. As a member of the Jamesburg Volunteer Fire Department, Jamesburg Volunteer First Aid and Rescue Squad, and serving on the National Forest Fire Team of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service he has learned how to make sound judgements in the face of adversity while maintaining his composure and compassion for patients and their families.

His practice interests are broad, however, regional anesthesia, obstetrical anesthesia, and critical care medicine are areas of anesthesia that he particularly enjoys.

When not at work he enjoys playing hockey, fishing, golfing and traveling. However, his favorite thing to do is spend time with his favorite person on the planet, his son Albert.
